I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a private therapy practice in Frederick, Maryland.

Philosophy: I am passionate about therapy and feel honored to be a part of such an important and powerful process. I believe that there is power and potential in all of us for inner healing and growth. My approach to therapy is a collaborative one. I believe that the relationship between the therapist and the individual provides a supportive, confidential, and safe environment in which change and healing can occur.

Special Interests: My areas of special interest include relationship concerns/patterns, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, self-esteem, body image, gay and lesbian issues, addiction, trauma, life transition and adjustment, as well as personal growth and empowerment.

Credentials: I hold a Master's degree in clinical social work specializing in mental health from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, and am licensed by the state of Maryland. I am proud of my background in Social Work, which has given me the opportunity to work at both the individual and the community level.

Experience: My experience includes a broad range of therapeutic relationships, including: individuals and groups, adults, adolescents, and children in community mental health, addictions, and group practice settings. My work with children, families, and the community within the Baltimore City school system provided a unique perspective on social issues, as has my experience counseling women facing unplanned pregnancies and other difficult family planning decisions.
